Smiley Well, Cecil had quite a show last night. The turnout was pretty good. I was happy to see all the people supporting my local track! I was very impressed by the fireworks display. The weather was perfect. Almost odd for july! The jet car was awesome. I thought the space shuttle was taking off! The late model race had too many cautions. Mostly due to a certain driver wanting to jump the start numerous times.#16.
Skeeters had a good race too. Martin sapp had some real competition with the 81. Until his car broke. And #8 added another win to the books. Congratulations. Way to go SGMP!

Hello Race Fans,  Well it was another exciting weekend for Stock Car Racing all around. From Daytona's wild and crazy race to local racing , there was a big BANG and Every track around had some fire works in one way or the other.  I think Daytona Speedway I think has decided to open up a salvage yard after the big wreck Saturday night. It seems when one man checks up just a little on the super speedway it causes mayhem. We would like to congradulate Thomas McGrath On a solid 2nd place finish this week end at South Ga Motor Sports Park in the Hobby Stock Class. Also Congradulations to Martian Sapp in the skeeter cars, and Darryl Shellnutt in the # 7 Latemodel. Now in the Thunder and Lighten it seems that Speedy was not satisfied with the fire works that the track put on so on lap 10 Speedy's Motor blew up and made one more bright fire ball going around the track. Speedy was on a roll coming from the back to over take the # 3 car of David Kenndy and passing him to take a comanding lead over Kenndey. And as Jimmy Johnson's crew chief told him after the race a few weeks ago , You have just been giving a Gift of the day. Kenndy was giving the gift of the Win after Speedy's motor blew. I talk to Speedy yesterday and he all ready has another motor ready and will be back in house to show Kenndy how fast his car really is. We will have more results as they come in so stay tune or listen Tuesday night to Stock Car Thunder at 6 pm on NewsTalk 105.9.
