DOUGLAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY RESULTS

Once again race fans, if you were not at Douglas Motor Speedway you missed some of the best action pack racing in the south. Like I said it was the "Bad Boys in Fast Toys." One of the most unbelievable things of the night was during the pre race hot laps Benny Craft in the K9 was in rare form when his car spun and rolled over on it top. And as some were quoted as saying "the old k9 dog just wanted his belly rubbed". After up-righting the car Benny Craft race his K9 car back into the "WIN ZONE" followed by # 12 Buck Brown, # 55 Dusty Roberson and # 07 Martin Weeks. Super Stock action seen Jimmy Sloan take the "Win Zone"back after a minor set back from the previous week followed by # 11 Bum Nelson,#X Anthony Howell And #8 Brian Grantham and #95 Glenn Luke rounding out the top five.
After setting in the "Win Zone in his super stock, Jimmy Sloan must have not got enough because he then loaded up in a limited latemodel and pushed his # 27 car to the max just staying out in front of Waycross champion Kyle Livinghood's #35 car ,Keith Herdon #6 and Tampus Disbrow in the #2 car. As far as the hobbie stocks go Iron Man Michael Hudgins in the #21 car put on a driving seminar for everyone and getting into the "WIN ZONE" for his first feature win at DMS. Hudgins was followed by Sliding Shane Weaver #8 who took second only after a hard fought race to get around the #7 car Shane Parker who finish third and #3 Brian Weaver took the fourth spot.
Young Gun Evan Becton set the pase with his #15 car to hold of the hard charging train lead by #29 Mallory Harvey, followed by #12 J Scott Johnson,#26 Cole Exum,#22 Wilson Griffis and # 7 driven by Houston (the Tiger)Joiner. Becton has won numerous times at other tracks around south Georgia but this was his first ever trip to the "WIN ZONE" at Douglas Motor Speedway. The old Skeeter Cars had The Caveman Lonnie Roberts hold of newly married # 1 Jared Bullard, with Valdosta's Walt Bazemoore in the #44 car taking 3rd.
