Opening Night At Wacross Motor Speedway
Well Welcome back race fans from a long dry winter of no racing. Everyone has sat around anticipating an exciting 2010 season. After many changes over the winter, Waycross Motor Speedway was ready to step up to the plate and take they're first swing at the new game. Lets set the stage, Saturday afternoon a brisk 54 degrees, fans and racer alike start filing in to the newly redone track. Waycross management decide last season to finally to take up the old oil base surface and put down what most tracks have that good old Georgia red clay. Waycross set them self's up for an mayhem that only those who have tried would see coming. Waycross put up the money and the cars showed up, in all classes. Just to give you a hint there were 35 of the fastest ground pound late models from all over the South Georgia and north Florida. Over all the total car count was 110 cars who signed up to race and the stand and pit alike were full to capacity. Now don't get me wrong I am not downing or talking bad about anyone or any track , I am just reporting what I have seen and what I think would help those who run these facilities.
